A Magical Wedding at San Antonio Botanical Garden to Ring in the New Year
As a San Antonio wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of documenting weddings all over the city for many years—but there’s something truly unforgettable about a New Year’s Eve wedding, especially one held at the stunning San Antonio Botanical Garden.
Weddings on the last day of the year hold a unique kind of magic. There’s a joyful mix of celebration and reflection—two people committing to each other while also stepping together into a brand new year. This particular celebration was filled with that energy and more. I’m all in for vibes, and this day was full of them—from beginning to end.
The Venue: San Antonio Botanical Garden
If you’ve ever visited the San Antonio Botanical Garden, you already know how beautiful it is. The natural textures, the garden architecture, and the golden hour light all create an incredible atmosphere for photos. It’s one of my favorite venues in the city, not just for its beauty, but for how seamlessly it blends elegance and nature.
The garden offered a perfect setting for this wedding. Whether it was the ceremony surrounded by lush greenery or the evening celebration under the stars, every moment felt elevated by the space itself.
Real Moments, Real Emotion
As a documentary-style wedding photographer, I focus on capturing the honest, unscripted moments—the way a couple looks at each other, the spontaneous laughter, the emotion during toasts, and the way people dance like nobody’s watching when the DJ plays that perfect song.
This wedding had all of that. There was no need for stiff posing or forced moments. Everything just flowed, and my role was to follow the energy and preserve the story of the day as it happened.
The Vendors Who Made It Happen
The day wouldn’t have been the same without the incredible team that brought it all to life:
- Venue: San Antonio Botanical Garden
- Florist: Freesia Design
- Catering: Jason Dady Catering
- DJ: Patrick Grey
From the vibrant floral arrangements to the delicious food and the perfectly curated soundtrack, every detail came together seamlessly.
