Laura and John Wedding at Spanish Governor’s Palace

There’s something so special about intimate weddings — the kind where every moment feels deeply personal, and every guest is someone who knows your story. Laura and John’s wedding was exactly that kind of day, and I’m so grateful I got to document it.

The ceremony took place at the Spanish Governor’s Palace, one of the most historic and charming venues in downtown San Antonio. This hidden gem has such character — cobblestone courtyards, white stucco walls, and rustic textures that photograph beautifully. It was the perfect setting for Laura and John to say “I do” surrounded by their closest family and friends.

After the ceremony, we headed over to the McNay Art Museum for their formal portraits. The architecture and gardens at the McNay never disappoint. It gave us a peaceful and artistic backdrop to capture some timeless moments of just the two of them.

As a San Antonio wedding photographer, I find that intimate weddings often allow for a deeper connection — not just between the couple, but between the couple and their photographer. I get to slow down, pay attention to the details, and tell a fuller story of the day. Laura and John’s love was calm, confident, and full of joy — and it truly shines through in every photo.

If you’re planning a small wedding in San Antonio and want someone to capture the heart of it all, I’d love to be part of your story.
