Madeline + Christian // Downtown San Antonio Engagement Photos

I first heard from Madeline through an email she sent me last year. She wanted to schedule an engagement session with her fiancé before his military deployment. I was honored to be the one to capture such a meaningful moment in their lives.

We decided to meet at Hemisphere Park, right in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The Tower of the Americas made for a stunning backdrop, and we explored the surrounding areas of La Villita as we began shooting. The light that day was soft and perfect—just what I look for in a session.

As we continued, we stumbled across a beautiful fountain and a mini water park. That’s when things got really fun. They suggested getting soaked under the fountain, and I immediately said, “Let’s do it!” It was spontaneous, emotional, and completely them. The images we captured in that moment are some of my favorites—real, raw, and joyful.

One more thing that makes this session so special? Her engagement ring. It wasn’t just bought. He made it. Yes, her fiancé handcrafted the ring himself—a symbol of love and dedication as powerful as the session itself.
