Selene + Jeremy // San Antonio TX Engagement Session

What a day!

Some photo sessions just hit different—and this was one of those unforgettable ones. Selene and her partner had chosen Geronimo Oaks – Weddings and Events for their wedding, and we decided to use this incredible venue for their engagement photos as well.

Now let me tell you—this place is massive. Full of rustic charm, open skies, and breathtaking views, it’s a dream location for any San Antonio engagement photographer. We hopped on a mule (the vehicle, not the animal!) and ventured out to the back of the property to find the perfect light and scenery.

Just as we were settling in for some relaxed, candid shots, a very curious donkey wandered up and got a little too interested in my camera. At one point, I thought it might try to eat it! But honestly, that little surprise made the session even more fun. Those spontaneous, unscripted moments are what documentary engagement photography is all about.

The late afternoon sun gave us beautiful warm tones, and the open space allowed the couple to really be themselves. There’s something incredibly special about photographing people in a place that brings them joy and comfort. Geronimo Oaks gave us just that—a stunning natural backdrop and a vibe that encouraged fun, connection, and laughter.

I walked away from this session with a full memory card, a slightly slobbery camera, and a big smile on my face.
