About your Session

The session will last one hour and will take place Monday through Thursday at either sunrise or sunset. As strange as it may sound to perform a sunrise session, the majority of my sessions take place in the early hours of the morning! It's not for every family (consider sleep/nap schedules before booking! ), but the light at that time of day is incredible, and the streets and parks are a little less crowded, so we have the world to ourselves.

If you require additional assistance in scheduling your picture session, please let me know and we may schedule a phone call! I'll covers everything from when to book (based on how you want to use the photographs) to how to choose the location to what to wear. Local sessions are within one hour of San Antonio, however if you're not local and would want to schedule one, please contact me for a travel quote!

FAQ & Answers

What is required to reserve our session?

When you're ready to schedule your session date, I'll email you an online contract to fill out. To confirm your session date, both the signed contract and payment are required.

What are the payment options?

I accept checks and cash and will include information on the best way to pay with the contract. The session fees are divided into two payments: 50% with the contract to book your date and the remaining 50% on the day of the session.

What if there’s inclement weather?

If there is a 60% chance of rain or greater the day before our session, I normally recommend rescheduling for local customers who do not require travel. If you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice. Simply cloudy days provide incredibly bright, soft light, but for rainy or snowy days, we have numerous options, including: an inside rain plan (a coffee shop, a museum, or an in-home shoot) or we grab some umbrellas and shoot anyhow. I want you to love your images and your time working with me, so if we need to reschedule, we will!

How long before we see our photos?

Your photos will be uploaded online in an online gallery in 4-6 weeks for you to share with family and friends to view and purchase prints! I'll also provide you download instructions for your high resolution files, which you may print, distribute, and post on Instagram and Facebook, among other things. I'd love for you to share your photos. If you don't mind tagging me @ChristianMargain, I'd love to see your favorites!

How many photos will we receive?

Portrait sessions average about 60-80 proofs and 2 hour events are 100-120.
